Fight Frizz the Right Way
For Straight Hair
Allow wet sets to completely dry: Starting with a wet set is a good idea regardless of the season. However, don’t make the mistake of removing your rollers before your hair is completely dry. Doing so causes frizz. Sitting under a hood or bonnet dryer is the quickest way to fully dry locks, so apply a heat protectant beforehand and make sure you have some entertainment lined up so that you don’t get bored.
Apply serums to dry hair: Once your final style is in place, add a dab of shine serum to dry hair. You only need a small amount so that your mane isn’t weighed down with too much product.
Baby those ends: Healthy ends won’t frizz like damaged ones, so make sure yours are free of splits and excessive dryness. Sealing in moisture as often as needed and dusting are two ways to keep your ends in check.
For Curly Styles
Start styling wet hair: Your styling session begins the moment you’re done washing or co-washing. Starting with very wet hair locks in your look.
Don’t brush: Do not brush curls with a bristle brush, wet or dry. Period.
Avoid oil-based products: Our water-based HAIRFINITY Haircare products give your hair the moisture it needs. Oil-based ones are fine for sealing in moisture, but if you want a frizz-free curly ‘do, avoid oily products on wet or damp hair.
Don’t over-handle: Once your curls are in place, keep your hands off. This can be difficult but necessary if you want pretty curls that don’t frizz up.
